This rule amends the Legal Profession Uniform General Rules 2015 to specify the Family Court Act 1997 of Western Australia for the purposes of section 181(7)(c) of the Legal Profession Uniform Law, relating to conditional costs agreements.
Legal practitioners in Western Australia who enter into conditional costs agreements with clients may be affected. The amendment clarifies the applicability of section 181(7)(c) of the Uniform Law in relation to proceedings under the Family Court Act 1997 (WA).
