These regulations prescribe fees for authorisations under section 16 and notices under section 18 of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972. They also cover fee waivers, extensions, interest on overdue amounts, and recovery of outstanding fees.
Commercial and government proponents will be required to pay fees for certain activities related to Aboriginal heritage. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations may also be affected if their activities are for profit or commercial gain.
