These regulations amend the Public Transport Authority Regulations 2003. The amendments include a change to gender-neutral language and updates to the list of prohibited items on public transport to include firearms, major firearm parts, prohibited firearm accessories, and ammunition.

Public transport users and operators are affected. Users are now explicitly prohibited from carrying firearms and related items. Operators need to be aware of the expanded list of prohibited items.
