These regulations amend the Aboriginal Heritage Regulations 1974 to update processes related to Aboriginal heritage management, including defining native title parties, notice procedures, and committee procedures. They also introduce penalties for non-compliance.
Landowners, native title parties, and the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Committee are affected. Landowners must use the AH management system for notices. Native title parties are defined for section 18 of the Act. Committee procedures are updated regarding conflicts of interest and meetings.
