These regulations amend the Children's Court (Fees) Regulations 2005 and the Magistrates Court (Fees) Regulations 2005 to waive certain application and transcript fees related to Family Violence Restraining Orders (FVROs) and Violence Restraining Orders (VROs).
Applicants and respondents in FVRO and VRO cases in the Children's Court and Magistrates Court will not have to pay fees for their first copy of the application and hearing transcript under certain conditions, reducing financial barriers to accessing justice.
