Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Act 2007

These regulations amend the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management (Identification and Movement of Stock and Apiaries) Regulations 2013 to introduce new requirements for identifying sheep and goats, particularly in the south-west of WA, using NLIS devices and earmarks.

Sheep and goat owners in the south-west of WA will need to identify their animals with NLIS devices and/or earmarks. Property operators (pounds, holding yards, saleyards, abattoirs, export depots) will have new responsibilities for managing unidentified or newly born sheep and goats.
