These regulations amend the Biosecurity and Agriculture Management (Identification and Movement of Stock and Apiaries) Regulations 2013, updating requirements for hive identification and marking. They specify approved methods for marking hives and address issues of altered or indistinguishable identifiers.

Beekeepers and registered identifiers are affected. They must adhere to the Director General's approved methods for marking hives, ensuring identifiers are visible, legible, and indelible. Hives with altered or indistinguishable identifiers will be considered non-compliant.
