Criminal Procedure Act 2004

These regulations amend the Criminal Procedure Regulations 2005, the Fines, Penalties and Infringement Notices Enforcement Regulations 1994, and the Legislation Regulations 2023 to incorporate changes related to the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023.

Employers and individuals dealing with workers compensation matters will be affected. Specifically, orders under s. 207(1) of the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 are now classified as fines, and the Act is a prescribed enactment for enforcement purposes. The Legislation Regulations are also updated to reflect relevant sections of the new Act.
