Local Government Amendment (Auditing) Act 2017

This proclamation fixes 1 January 2026 as the day on which section 22(2) of the Local Government Amendment (Auditing) Act 2017 comes into operation. This section relates to the deletion of superseded provisions within the Act.

Local governments and auditors will be affected as they will need to comply with the changes to the auditing requirements from 1 January 2026, as per the Local Government Amendment (Auditing) Act 2017.
