These regulations supported the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021 by outlining processes for the ACH Council, local Aboriginal cultural heritage services, protected areas, activity management, the ACH Directory, compliance, and transitional arrangements. They were repealed in 2023.
These regulations impacted Aboriginal communities, land users, and developers by establishing procedures for managing activities affecting Aboriginal cultural heritage. Now repealed, those procedures are no longer in effect.
