These regulations amend the Conservation and Land Management Regulations 2002, the Environmental Protection (Clearing of Native Vegetation) Regulations 2004, and the Environmental Protection Regulations 1987 to update references to Aboriginal heritage in line with the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021.
These amendments ensure consistency with the new Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021. Those managing land or undertaking activities that might impact Aboriginal cultural heritage need to be aware of the new definitions and requirements.
