These regulations amend the Procurement (Debarment of Suppliers) Regulations 2021 to include non-compliance with specific sections of the Building and Construction Industry (Security of Payment) Act 2021 as grounds for debarment of suppliers.
Building and construction industry suppliers are affected. Non-compliance with security of payments legislation (specifically sections 65 and 87 of the Building and Construction Industry (Security of Payment) Act 2021) can now lead to debarment from government procurement processes.
