These regulations amend the Mining Regulations 1981 to introduce requirements for applicants and holders of mining tenements to provide a service address and designated tenement contact details. It also allows individuals to request confidentiality of their address details on the register and makes minor wording changes.
Applicants and holders of mining tenements will need to provide up-to-date service address and designated tenement contact details. Individuals whose address details are on the register can apply for confidentiality. The Department of Mines will need to process these requests.
