These regulations amend the Fish Resources Management Regulations 1995 to introduce new rules regarding the landing of demersal finfish on fishing tours in the West Coast Region. They prohibit landing certain fish and introduce a quota tag system.
Fishing tour operators in the West Coast Region are affected. They must not allow the landing of certain demersal finfish without quota tags. The CEO must determine a method for allocating quota tags.
