These regulations amend the Navigable Waters Regulations 1958, Mooring Regulations 1998, and Western Australian Marine (Infringements) Regulations 1985 to address obstructions in State waters, including offences, investigation, and removal processes.
Owners of vessels and other items in State waters are affected by new offences and removal procedures related to obstructions. The Department of Transport gains increased powers to manage and remove obstructions, and recover costs.
