This regulation amends the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Regulation 2018 to extend the transition period for professional indemnity insurance arrangements for midwives practicing private midwifery in Western Australia. The deadline is extended from 31 December 2023 to 1 July 2025.
Midwives practicing private midwifery in Western Australia are affected. They now have until 1 July 2025 to comply with professional indemnity insurance requirements, providing additional time to secure appropriate coverage.
