Medicines and Poisons Act 2014

These regulations amend the Medicines and Poisons Regulations 2016 to include VPB-authorised persons (veterinary paraprofessionals) in provisions related to Schedule 4 poisons, allowing them to administer and possess certain medications under specific conditions.

Veterinary practices employing VPB-authorised persons will be affected, as these individuals will now be authorised to administer and possess certain Schedule 4 poisons under the supervision of a veterinarian. This may streamline certain veterinary procedures.
