These regulations replace the 1993 regulations regarding minimum conditions of employment. They also clarify what constitutes a reasonable deduction from an employee's wages for goods or services provided by the employer or a related party, or for private use of employer property.
Employers and employees in Western Australia are affected. Employers now have updated guidance on permissible deductions from employee wages. The repeal of the 1993 regulations means the new regulations now govern minimum employment conditions.
