These regulations amend the Mooring Regulations 1998 to update definitions, insert a new regulation regarding moving vessels, and make other minor amendments related to mooring control areas and enforcement.
Vessel owners and operators within mooring control areas are affected by the new regulation allowing the CEO to direct the movement of vessels and impose penalties for non-compliance. Authorised officers are affected by the change from 'certificate of appointment' to 'identity card'.
