These regulations amend the Public Transport Authority Regulations 2003 to update definitions related to electronic tickets, clarify conditions for ticket validity and production, and modify penalties. They also remove gender-specific language and update infringement notice forms.
Passengers using public transport in WA are affected by changes to electronic ticket usage and validity. Public transport staff (drivers, masters, authorised persons) are affected by changes to ticket inspection and retention procedures. The Authority is affected by changes to infringement notice procedures.
