Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012

These regulations amend the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014. They redefine terms related to tyre tread and specify that minimum tread depth requirements apply to all principal grooves on a tyre.

Vehicle owners and operators are affected as they must ensure their vehicle tyres meet the updated tread depth requirements in all principal grooves. This may require more frequent tyre replacements to maintain compliance.
