This proclamation commences the Short-Term Rental Accommodation Act 2024. Parts 2 to 8 (excluding section 47) will commence on 1 July 2024, and section 47 will commence on 1 January 2025.
Owners and operators of short-term rental accommodations will be affected as the Act's provisions come into effect, requiring them to comply with the new regulations. The general public will also be affected by the changes to short-term rental availability and management.
