As part of its review of the Environmental Protection (Western Swamp Tortoise Habitat) Policy 2011, the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has prepared a draft Environmental Protection (Western Swamp Tortoise Habitat) Policy 2026. The EPA invites comments from the public on the new draft policy, which continues the protection of habitat critical to the long-term survival of the western swamp tortoise and establishes environmental values for the EPP area.

Directs the Environmental Protection Authority to defer the review of the Environmental Protection (Western Swamp Tortoise Habitat) Policy 2011 until November 30, 2026.
Appoints Professor Matthew Tonts as a full-time member and chairperson to the Environmental Protection Authority Board.
Appoints Lee Mcintosh as a part-time member and deputy chairperson of the Environmental Protection Authority for a 5-year term.
Delegates powers and duties conferred or imposed by specified sections of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
