A voluntary fisheries adjustment scheme is established, to be called the Octopus Interim Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2026. The objectives of the scheme are to allow persons authorised to operate in Zone 3 of the Fishery to surrender one or more authorisations, an entitlement, or any combination thereof, to facilitate leaving the Fishery; and reduce fishing effort to maintain the economic and operational viability of authorisation holders who remain in the fishery.
