A voluntary fisheries adjustment scheme is established, called the Kimberley Crab Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2026. The objectives are to allow persons authorised to operate in the Fishery to surrender authorisations and reduce fishing effort. Offers to surrender authorisations must be made no later than 29 May 2026. The scheme will commence operation on the date this notice is published and cease on 18 December 2026.
