Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, you are required to install firebreaks or take alternative approved measures, and undertake fuel hazard reduction measures before 1 October and maintain them up to 31 March. Defines firebreak, flammable material, harvest ban, internal vehicle access, mobile fire fighting unit, plantation, rural land, townsite, and yard. Details requirements for rural land, townsite land, open air fires, properties with fire management plans, and plantations.
