A compulsory fisheries adjustment scheme is established to reduce the size of the relevant fisheries by cancelling licences in Zone 1 and Zone 3 in the Southern Demersal Gillnet and Demersal Longline Managed Fishery, cancelling permits in the West Coast Demersal Gillnet and Demersal Longline Interim Managed Fishery, and reducing entitlement to fish in the South-West and Mid-West Areas of the West Coast Demersal Scalefish Interim Managed Fishery. Applications for compensation must be received by 4:30pm 22 May 2026.
