These regulations amend the Road Traffic (Drug Driving) Regulations 2007 to include cocaine as a drug tested for, increase a specific fee, and update procedures for drug testing devices, specifically the SECURETEC DRUGWIPE II TWIN COMBO and SECURETEC DRUGWIPE 3 S COMBO.
Drivers in Western Australia will now be tested for cocaine during roadside drug tests. The fee for a specific drug driving offence has increased. Law enforcement and drug testing personnel will need to follow updated procedures for collecting and processing oral fluid samples using the specified drug testing kits.
