A voluntary fisheries adjustment scheme is established, called the Marine Aquarium Fish Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2026. The objectives are to allow persons authorised to operate in the Fishery to surrender authorisations/entitlements to facilitate leaving the Fishery, and reduce fishing effort. Invitations for offers to surrender must be made no later than 29 May 2026. The scheme commences on the date of gazettal and ceases on 18 December 2026.
