A voluntary fisheries adjustment scheme is established, called the Abalone Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2026. The objectives are to facilitate a reduction of catch in the Fishery by allowing the surrender of units and authorisations. Invitations for offers to surrender must be made not later than 29 May 2026. The scheme will commence operation on the date this notice is published and cease operation on 18 December 2026.
