A voluntary fisheries adjustment scheme is established, called the South Coast Nearshore Net Managed Fishery Voluntary Fisheries Adjustment Scheme 2026. The objectives are to allow persons authorised to operate in the Fishery to surrender authorisations, to facilitate leaving the Fishery; and reduce effort to limit the impact of the establishment of a marine park or parks and to maintain the economic and operational viability of authorisation holders who remain in the Fishery. Invitations for offers to surrender one or more authorisations must be made not later than 29 May 2026.
